The frost has come. While sunny days can still get warm, the nights have started to sink below freezing, so I brought in the final harvest from my garden.

It was a good year for my garden. During the summer, we enjoyed fresh cucumbers, radishes, lettuce, and spinach. This last harvest brought in two small heads of cabbage, a final cucumber, some tomatoes (I’ll wrap the green ones up with some apples and hope they ripen), a pile of carrots, and a few tiny late radishes.
We’ll enjoy a few more extremely local salads before turning to the grocery store shelves to get us through the winter.
